CAN PRESIDENT OBAMA BE A LEADER?
As each day passes, it’s becoming more clear that President Obama plans to campaign rather than lead, mainly because that’s all he knows how to do.

It’s been over eight months since his inauguration, and President Obama is still spending most of his time campaigning. He is constantly on television, prompting at least one person to give her TV set away because she was tired of seeing his face on her screen.
He has burned more fuel in eight months than most families use in years, flying Air Force One to go to all his town hall meetings, interviews, speeches and rallies. He could save a lot of money and some of the environment if he just stayed home and did what people elected him to do—lead.
This begs several questions:
•
When does Obama have time to sit down and listen to experts and advisors about important issues that would help him formulate a coherent program? In other words, when does Obama have time to actually lead?
•
While Obama’s out giving speeches, interviews and rah-rah rallies, who is governing our country?
•
Is there a shadow government, unaccountable to Congress and the people, that’s calling the shots behind the scenes?
•
Why has our commander-in-chief spent more time with David Letterman than the military commander overseeing our war effort in Afghanistan?
And while America fights two wars, a struggling economy and growing nuclear threats from rogue nations, our president is on his way to Copenhagen to argue his case as to why the 2016 Olympic Games should be staged in his hometown of Chicago. Some leadership.
In regards to time management, it is nearly impossible for Obama to spend all the time he does traveling, campaigning and hitting the international conference circuit and still be able to devote the necessary time and energy to the daily presidential responsibilities.
Unfortunately this leads to the one question that matters: Obama hasn’t led anything in his life… why start now?
